Malaria Parasite (Plasmodium) Earrings - Small Hooks

Plasmodium spp. are the parasites which cause malaria. These earrings depict a red blood cell infected with a Plasmodium parasite. The 'red cell' is made from resin; the parasite shape is etched into the piece and coloured with acrylic paint. The dangle is 2cm and the total length of the earring is 3.5cm.

These earrings are lovingly handmade from epoxy resin and glitter. The earring hooks are surgical steel, so they are suitable for those with other metal sensitivities. Please note that colours may appear differently on different screens. Due to their handmade nature, each piece will be slightly different.
