Giardia Parasite Earrings - Hooks

Glittering Giardia earrings! These earrings depict the trophozoite stage of the Giardia duodenalis protozoan, which causes called giardiasis (a gastrointestinal infection). They have a ventral disc, nucleoli, median body and flagella! They are handmade from resin, with beautiful iridescent and metallic glitters.

The trophoziote is 2cm wide and 4.5cm long. Including the hooks, the total length is 6cm.

Please note, these earrings must be handled with care. The flagella are thin and may break if dropped or if force is applied.

These earrings are lovingly handmade from epoxy resin and glitter. The earring hooks are surgical steel, so they are suitable for those with other metal sensitivities.

The resin pieces are placed and poured by hand so there are slight variations between pieces. Your pair may not look exactly the same as the photos because every pair is unique!
