Sparkling nematode earrings! These earrings depict a type of microscopic worms called nematodes, also known as roundworms. There are many different types and species of nematodes, but these earrings are inspired by the algae- and plant-chomping nematodes that you can see in pond water under a microscope. They're so cute!
These nematodes are hand made from clear glittery acrylic, with some resin and painted details. They are 6cm long and 1.8cm across at the widest point, and hang on a 1.7cm surgical steel huggie-style hoop. The total length is 7.5cm.
Please note, the average width of the nematode piece is 0.5cm, so they may break if handled roughly or dropped onto a hard surface.
